After reboot VBox did not start any VMs anymore, I reinstalled .12 and was told to reboot the host. I have reintalled 4.3.16 multiple times to no avail. But we have no clue what's causing it at the moment because SATA disks are working fine with Windows as long as they are not used for the operating system. I'm am going to try and break down the inf a bit and see if I can make out any signifiant changes. Any help?

I know that these patches are unofficial, but they are popular, lots of people are using them, specially UxTheme and setupapi patch. Also, i am able to stop the process virtualbox.exe, which in turn prevents windows from shutting down properly; i'm forced to do a hard reset (this only happens after i try I do remember working with you on a prior issue a while back.

Similar problems reported by other users in tickets #13189, #13193, #13196, #13198, #13200, #13201, #13206, #13208, #13217, #13219. Reverted back to 4.3.12. Add a virtual SATA controller and attached a virtual disk image to it.
